Shipping & Delivery Policy

Last updated: 2026. This policy explains how Stellenbosch IT ships and delivers physical products ordered through our online store.

1. Delivery Method

All physical products ordered through the Stellenbosch IT store are shipped via The Courier Guy (TCG), a national courier service operating across South Africa. We use an economy service with door-to-door delivery.

We operate on a drop-ship model — products are dispatched directly from the supplier's warehouse to your delivery address. We do not hold stock at our premises.

2. Delivery Areas

We deliver to physical addresses throughout South Africa, including major cities and most suburban areas. We are unable to deliver to:

  • PO boxes or postal addresses
  • Remote farm addresses not serviced by TCG

If your area is not serviceable, we will contact you to arrange an alternative collection point or issue a full refund.

3. Delivery Timeframes

Estimated delivery times are from the date of dispatch, not the date of order. Dispatch typically occurs within 1–2 business days of order confirmation.

  • Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban (major metros): 1–3 business days
  • Other cities and towns: 3–5 business days
  • Remote or outlying areas: 5–7 business days

These are estimated timeframes only. Stellenbosch IT is not liable for delays caused by the courier, force majeure, or circumstances beyond our control. During peak periods (Black Friday, December holidays) delivery times may be extended.

4. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight and dimensions of your order and your delivery address. The shipping fee is displayed before payment is made.

Free shipping promotions, where offered, apply only to qualifying orders as stated at the time of promotion.

5. Order Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a tracking reference from The Courier Guy. You can track your shipment:

  • Via your customer portal under My Orders
  • Via the TCG tracking link included in your dispatch email

If you have not received a tracking reference within 3 business days of your order, please contact us.

6. Delivery Requirements

Someone must be available at the delivery address to receive and sign for the parcel. If no one is available:

  • The courier may leave a delivery notice and attempt re-delivery on the next business day
  • After two failed delivery attempts, the parcel may be returned to the depot
  • Additional re-delivery fees may apply for subsequent delivery attempts

Please ensure your delivery address and contact number are accurate at checkout. Stellenbosch IT is not responsible for delivery failures caused by incorrect address details.

7. Damaged or Lost Parcels

Damaged on Arrival

If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please:

  1. Photograph the damage before opening the parcel
  2. Note the damage on the courier's delivery slip where possible
  3. Contact us within 24 hours of delivery at info@paarlit.co.za

We will raise a claim with TCG and arrange a replacement or refund for items confirmed damaged in transit.

Lost in Transit

If your tracking shows no movement for more than 5 business days after dispatch, please contact us. We will investigate with TCG and, if the parcel is confirmed lost, arrange a replacement or full refund.

8. Returns Shipping

For approved returns, the cost of return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item is defective or was incorrectly supplied. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full return conditions.
